With a strong Scottish family background of well known horticulturalists and market gardeners, Karen first pursued a career in floristry. Moving to the Cotswolds and having a family, she decided to retrain in Garden Design and Horticulture at Pershore College and Waterperry Gardens after which she set up her business Thistle Garden Design

I design beautiful, elegant, traditional, structural, plant filled gardens with a contemporary twist. Small areas to large gardens, town and country, my aim is to create a beautiful garden that is right for you, that will keep on improving year after year.

I am passionate about encouraging pollinating insects and wildlife into every garden and always include interesting insect attracting plants.Wherever possible and practical I will also introduce water to a garden.
