Gloucester Elim Church

Welcome to Gloucester Elim, thanks for visiting our website.  Hopefully it will give you an idea of the type of church we are and give you a feel for what we do.

We are a pentecostal church in the city of Gloucester (very close to the city centre).  We are a church that seeks to be contemporary and relevant.  We want to make the message of Christ relevant and personal to your particular circumstances.  We believe that Jesus can change people’s lives for the better.   Our worship is usually vibrant and upbeat.  Since God has done so much for us we just love to sing about it.

The best way to get a taste for our church is to come along and try it for yourself.

We usually start off by singing contemporary worship songs.  Very often during this part we invite people to receive prayer for anything they may be struggling with.

The children stay in with us at the beginning, but later go out to Sunday school to get a lesson that’s suitable for them.  They always enjoy doing crafts and playing games.

After worship someone will usually give a talk about God or how we can get the best out of our lives based on what He has said.

After the service we encourage everyone to have tea or coffee with us, it’s a great opportunity for us to get to know each other a bit better.
