Maybe we should have held a competition to guess where this picture was taken. I had no idea when Richard sent it in.The is the alley and subway in Alfred Street leading on to what was locally known in those days as The 40 Acres. The building on the right is Gloucester Foundry..Picture taken long before the days of spray paint cans and graffiti.

A photograph of the Park Paddling Pool in flood!The Sudbrook would often burst it’s bank in those days and this was the result.

Left. The old Sudbrook Railway line just after the tracks were removed. The pedestrian bridge can just be seen leading to the Park.
