The Capriol Orchestra’s autumn concert promises to be another fine performance.  They have the rare opportunity to play a work by the Czech composer Dvorak, his piano concerto being one of the few works he composedfor a chamber orchestra.  Samantha Carrasco, who has played with the orchestra on a number of previous occasions, will bring her energy, virtuosity and grace to this ‘magnificent but difficult work’.  Samantha is orchestral pianist with the Bournemouth Symphony orchestra and made her Proms debut with them in 2017.

The evening’s programme begins with the overture to Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaroand after the interval which includes refreshments, there will be a performance of Schubert’s sixth symphony.

The concert takes place on Saturday 13thOctober at 7.30pm at Holy Trinity Church, (next to the hospital) in Stroud. Tickets £11 (concessions £9) – Children under 16 free.  £1 reduction on tickets purchased prior to concert evening.
