‘Grumpy Old Man’ Arthur Smith headlines a stunning night of Stand-Up.
Smith has become one of comedy’s elder statesmen and is an Edinburgh Fringe stalwart and a comedy club compere since the early days of the alternative scene. To BBC radio and TV audiences his career has been split between various comedy shows on Radio 2 and presenting ‘The Comedy Club’ and ‘Excess Baggage’ on Radio 4. On TV he’s been a regular Grumpy Old Man and Countdown wordsmith.Arthur regularly produces material that is both surreal, and almost cultish as well as popular ‘His immense humour and willingness to laugh himself hoarse at other’s jokes make him unusual in an industry eaten by cool’. Joining Arthur will be Peter White. From his start in Nova Scotia, Canada, Peter has gone on to perform comedy all over the world, and is in high demand for comedy clubs and television appearances. Compering the evening will be the CrazyBird Comedy Club resident MC, Geoff Whiting.
The CrazyBird Comedy Club endeavours to promote local talent and will showcase a local comedian performing an open spot during the night.
