Gloucester in The 1950s/60s page39

Unit 3. A popular Band in the 1960s performing on the Gloucester Bandstand in the 1964 ‘Gloucester Beat Carnival’. They wore Red suites and white Cuban heeled boots. n their time they also supported acts which included Gene Vincent, The Swinging Blue Genes and John Leyton. They turned pro after winning the Competition which had 14 groups taking part and toured Germany that same year. Not bad for a Group of local boys.

Our thanks to John Skelton for the picture who was in the band.

Ray Tarling sent the following great photographs of King Sq, Gloucester taken in 1966 and 1968 respectively. Who remembers the old Bon before it became Debenhams?
