Gloucester had some great Rock ‘n’ Roll groups during the 1950s and early 60s.Here are just a few of them.The Intruders first. I belive that some of these photos were taken by Clff Ballinger who wrote the marvellous book A Gloucester Boy

Crazy Cavan and the Rhythm Rockers who actually hailed from Newport, but were regular visitors to Gloucester.This group started around 1964 and underwent several name changes including Count Dracula and the Vampires and The Sundogs.

The Rebounds.The lineup shown was Dido Vance,Gerry Docksey,Pete Docksey,Tony Maskell,Dennis Parnham & Les Nicholls.

Thirst. This picture was taken in Kings Sq.These bands were as good as any you could see on TV.
