Gloucestershire Police were called to Barton Street in Gloucester at 6.45pm this evening where a man in his twenties was found injured by the shop Liquid Treasure. 

The man, believed to be in his mid twenties, had suffered a slash wound to the back of his neck and a head trauma.  He was taken by ambulance to GRH.  His injuries at this stage are not believed to be life threatening or life changing.

Police have closed Barton Street, Vauxhall Road and Millbrook Street while they conduct their enquiries.

Witnesses have reported seeing a fight between a number of males in Vauxhall Road but it is not known if the fight is linked to this assault.   Witnesses also reported seeing a bald or shaven headed male wearing a grey top and joggers running down Blenheim Road towards Rycroft Street.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything or has any information relating to this incident who has not already been been spoken to by police to get in touch.  Please call 101 quoting incident number 397 of 17 October.
