Gloucester Rugby has confirmed an extension to the contract of young back row, Harry Taylor.
A product of Cinderford RFC & Chepstow RFC, the now 23-year-old has been a part of the senior ranks here at Kingsholm since 2020 and made his debut for the Cherry & Whites in 2021.
A former co-captain of the Gloucester Rugby Academy U18s, Taylor signed professional terms at Gloucester Rugby in 2020, after completing his studies at Clifton College.
Taylor has had loan spells with Hartpury RFC and Dragons RFC and also represented England U20s.
Director of Rugby, George Skivington, commented: “We’re really pleased to extend Harry’s stay at Kingsholm, he’s highly rated here.
“He’s clearly a talented rugby player and has a great work ethic and determination to grow; we’d like to think he’s in an environment here where he’s going to go from strength to strength.
“It’s fantastic to have so many Academy graduates coming through and establishing themselves in the first team and Harry is another one of those players that we’re excited with.”
Taylor added: “Coming through the Academy ranks here at Kingsholm, it really does feel like home.
“We’ve got a good thing going here, and there are exciting times ahead, so it was a really easy decision in the end to sign a new deal.
“Wearing the Cherry & White and playing in front of the Kingsholm faithful is always a privilege, and I’m looking forward to continuing to do so in the future.”
