Sir Thomas Rich’s School’s under-15 cricket team has reached the semi-finals of the inaugural Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup.
The competition, organised by the MCC Foundation, was launched to expand cricket opportunities for pupils in state education.
More than 1,100 boys’ and girls’ teams from over 800 schools entered, with Sir Thomas Rich’s now among the final four boys’ teams.
The Gloucester side has won all nine of its matches so far, including the Gloucestershire final at Frocester Cricket Club.
They will play their national semi-final on Monday 13 July at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.
The winner will progress to the final at Lord’s on 10 September.
