The Glasshouse Inn is a charming red bricked pub in a picturesque spot on the slopes of May Hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The Inn has been trading as a public house since 1891 and its strength lies firmly in its simplistic, unspoilt, almost timeless tradition. We have an excellent reputation for fine food and ales in a traditional pub atmosphere surrounded by beautiful countryside. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our fish, meats and fresh ingredients are sourced from local suppliers and are of the highest quality. We aim for excellence with every meal and look forward to welcoming you.
Steve & Jill Pugh took over the Glasshouse Inn in December 1996 and have turned the Glasshouse Inn into one of the best pub and restaurants in the area. High quality food is served in comfortable and traditional surroundings. The traditional pub & restaurant has grown steadily in popularity over the years with people travelling far and wide to sample the delights of this unique establishment.
This year has seen a new and exciting venture for Glasshouse Inn. We have recently finished building work on three holiday lodges to the rear of the current property. These luxurious lodges offer high class accommodation in beautiful surroundings with an emphasis on comfort and convenience. All lodges feature fully fitted bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms. Added luxuries include private parking next to each lodge, satellite TV and wifi internet access. However the lodges will retain the country feel of the beautiful surrounding countryside. The lodges are now fully ready for occupation and we are now taking bookings.
