Gloucester Cathedral has marked the completion of its new organ with a special dedication service.
The service took place on Sunday 5 July and was attended by the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
The new instrument was built by Nicholson & Co and is housed within the Cathedral’s restored 17th-century organ cases.
It features 3,338 pipes and has been designed to support worship, concerts, music education and community events for generations to come.
The Cathedral says the organ will also support its Singing and Organ Academies, helping young musicians across Gloucestershire develop their talents.
Dean Andrew Zihni described the instrument as a gift to the Cathedral, the city and future generations.
