Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey has been visiting National Star College in Cheltenham today.
He made mugs with SEND students preparing to leave education, alongside Cheltenham MP Max Wilkinson and North Cotswolds candidate Paul Hodgkinson.
Sir Ed used the visit to call on Prime Minister-in-waiting Andy Burnham to prioritise disabled children’s care, parent carers and SEND reform.
The Lib Dems want guaranteed breaks for family carers, earlier identification of SEND needs and protections to stop settled placements being disrupted.
National Star College supports young people with complex disabilities and learning difficulties.
