Police in Gloucester are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man who is wanted in connection with a stabbing which took place on Friday evening.

Officers would like to speak to Steven Hudson, 27 and from Gloucester, in relation to a report of an altercation which resulted in a man suffering a single stab wound.

He has links to Bournemouth and Plymouth.

At approximately 9pm on Friday police were called to an incident at a property on Mendip Close in Quedgeley which is believed to have involved a group of men.

Police were later alerted by the ambulance service that a man aged in his 30s had suffered a serious abdominal stab wound. He was taken to hospital for treatment and remains there at this time.

Two men from Gloucester – a 43-year-old and a 23-year-old – were both arrested on suspicion of assault and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Anyone with information on Steven Hudson’s whereabouts is asked not to approach him, but to call police on 101 and quote incident 444 of 16 February. Alternatively call independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
