Officers from Gloucestershire Neighbourhood Tasking Team closed down a property in Park Road, Gloucester yesterday.

The empty, two storey house, had been taken over by squatters and turned into a drug den.

Police found evidence of heroin use with hundreds and hundreds of uncapped needles strewn about.

There was blood, urine, rotten food and medication scattered throughout the building.

In partnership with Westmoreland housing provider the people living there have been safely removed and the property cleared.

Today the property will be safely boarded up.
