A man will appear at Gloucester Crown Court later this month charged with attempted robbery and assault following an incident outside shops in Matson Avenue, Gloucester in April.
At about 3pm on Tuesday 24 April police received a report of a man attempting to rob three men who had just withdrawn cash from the post office.
The men, who had arrived in a red Ford Focus, made their escape and nothing was stolen.
Michi Douglas, aged 29, of Sherborne Street, Gloucester was arrested in connection with the incident and appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on 27 April.
He was remanded in custody to appear at crown court on Friday 25 May where he will also answer a charge of threatening a person with a bladed article in an earlier, unrelated incident.
Officers would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident on 24 April.
