Over the last financial year the city council redesigned how services are delivered, to save over £1.5m and focus better on priorities.

Next year, further savings, greater income generation – or both – will be needed.

This is due to greater demand for council services, combined with price rises and inflation, meaning that overall running costs will increase. So it’s even more important to have your say on which services you consider to be a priority; how the savings should be made, or how income can be generated.

The consultation will close at midnight on Wednesday 29th November 2017.

Results will be discussed by the council’s Cabinet in February 2018.

Cllr David Norman, cabinet member for performance and resources said: “We’re working hard to make sure every penny of the budget goes towards providing great services that offer value for money. It’s a priority for us to make sure we meet the needs of all residents and businesses, so we’re calling on the community to help shape the future of our city by taking part in the survey.”
