The village of Alderton
Alderton in the 21st century is a thriving community both proud of its history and agricultural heritage and its present day diverse range of community activities. It boasts several picturesque listed buildings and a 14th century style Parish Church dedicated to St Margaret of Antioch which contains relics of an earlier Saxon structure.
Alderton still has a Post Office with general store, a thriving junior school, Village Hall, the Gardeners Arms public house, a garage with filling station, playing fields, allotment gardens with a community composting scheme and a newly formed Charitable Community Trust.
The village is a great place to live with a very active community and lots going on.
