A three-month closure order has been secured at a premises on Eastgate Street in connection with the sale and distribution of illegal tobacco.

An application made by Gloucestershire Constabulary in partnership with Trading Standards was granted in court yesterday (Thursday).

A temporary closure notice had been put in place at the ground floor retail premises of 124 Eastgate Street, Asian European Store, on Wednesday. The full closure order was secured at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Breaching a closure order is a criminal offence and means no-one is allowed to access the address – anyone doing so could be arrested.
