Forum Rules?

6 posts in this topic

Hi Eddie,

Looking at the thread of the disgruntled BobbleHat maybe some rules should be published for people to refer to if they have not got the commonsense to post responsibly.

For Example, on the MX-5 forum there is a section for new people that explains how to post photos etc. but also about the rules of the forum.

See at:

http://www.mx-5.com/Community/forums/ShowT...px?PostID=14329

In case you cannot access the link the rules are very simple and I have pasted them here.....

Our Forum Rules

Our group topics are there to help you. Please respect the topic of each group when posting - it’ll make life easier for everyone.

* No commercial postings, advertising or spamming

* No duplicated postings

* Off-topic or inappropriate postings will be deleted without notification

* Needless to say, no obscene, pornographic or adult material

* Avoid insulting, threatening or annoying another person

* Please keep your language clean and decent. This includes inflammatory language as well as obscenities

* Messages posted at this site are the sole opinion and responsibility of the poster

* Please respect the privacy of others: do not post people's phone numbers, pictures, any type of screen names and conversations without their permission

* The MX-5 Community webmaster reserves the right to modify these rules without notice and ban users at our discretion. We also reserve the right to remove any postings regarding specific material and sites

Keep up the good work, it's appreciated by 99.999% of the people on the forum. :)

'> Forum Rules?, To guide those that have no commonsense'

Your post could be regarded as insulting, annoying, even threatening to Bobblehat, who is still, as far as I know, a member. As such, it could be 'deleted without notification'.

Leave policing the forums to the mods.

I'm rubbish with new things, especially with computers. I have my own dedicated help line.... I dial Orion 999.

Keep at it Railfriend, once you find all the bits there is not much difference except that everything is clearer and easier. I think it looks and feels great.
