Stagecoach brings in contactless payments

2 posts in this topic

Catching a Stagecoach bus in Gloucestershire will never be the same again.

Contactless payments have been introduced and it is hoped it will reduce ‘congestion’ of people fiddling for the correct change.

It has been introduced on all 280 buses operated by Stagecoach West throughout Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and South Herefordshire.

It means that customers just have to tap their contactless-enabled credit or debit card as they get on the bus, wait for the bleep, collect the ticket and hop on board.

Hi

Very useful. In London they can also use their phones using  'Oyster' app.

Handy for me as you said - avoids me having to fiddle around with small change.
