Sunday Lunch at the Amberley Inn

1 post in this topic

The Amberley Inn is not far from Stroud and it must be one of the most gorgeous places in the area. The building itself is a lovely old one that matches the area perfectly.

We have not been there for ages so this Sunday we thought we would try it for Sunday Lunch.

We both had a half pint of beer from the barrell and that was first class, and we both selected rib of beef with yorkshire pudding. The beef was from the Highgrove estate and you just couldn't fault it. The presentation was lovely and we both enjoyed the meal, particularly the wonderful roast beef.

The service was good and very friendly and if you eat in the bar it is dog friendly. We spoke to another party there who had their dog with them and they were having a marvelous time.

My only criticism was that some of the greens, particularly the beans could have been cooked a bit more.
