J. K. Rowling
J. K. Rowling grew up in Gloucestershire and went to School in Tutshill. She was born in Chipping Sodbury in 1965. When she was nine her family moved to Tutshill near Chepstow in the Forest of Dean. She has always wanted to be a writer. Her first book was called Rabbit.
She left Chepstow for Exeter University, where her course included one year in Paris. The Harry Potter books were filmed right here in Gloucestershire with a lot of filming being done in Gloucester Cathedral
