Quedgeley is a growing suburb of Gloucester City. Large housing estates cover a great deal of the area. Access to the M5 motorway is easy from here as well as the A38 which takes you to Bristol, passing Stonehouse and Dursley.
Quedgeley Nature Reserve
Quedgeley House, along with the outbuildings and gardens, formed an important link with the history of the village. However, following the demolition of the main building in the 1970s the site has become derelict.
The site lies north of the local comprehensive School playing fields, and is bounded by housing estates. The area has been developed into a nature reserve. A very impressive list of birds, flora, mammals, reptiles and invertebrates inhabit the area. The reserve can be divided into three main areas.
