Kings walk Arcade sits just off Kings Square, and leads onto Eastgate Street. There are over 40 shops in the arcade, and of course it sits right in the centre of Gloucester. You can see some videos of Kings Square at Christmas when the skating rink was there.
This little nursery rhyme was a comment on the awful state of Gloucester's roads. Legend has it that during a visit by Edward 1st, his horse sank into the deep mud in a city street and he then refused to ever return.
