The Jet Age Museum

0063.jpg (12500 bytes)

Britain's first jet aircraft was designed, built and first flew from an airport near Gloucester in April 1941The first flight of the Gloster E28/39 marked the dawn of the jet age. The Gloster Meteor quickly followed the E28/39 to become the first jet aircraft to enter RAF service. The Gloster Javelin was the first delta wing jet interceptor. The Meteor and Javelin can be seen under restoration at the museum.

The Museum offers a rare opportunity to get close to those famous aircraft, and even sit in some of the cockpits.
