Churchdown is a lovely spot to walk around. There are public foot paths dotted right through the area. We will start with the daily walk that Pixel takes. It takes around 45 minutes to complete. Some like to start and finish at the council offices where there is a car park and toilets. From Field End there is an alley that leads through to Cheltenham Road East right by Town Cars. A new board dedicated to Churchdown is now live and you can go straight to the board HERE
When you reach this point you can either turn left onto the golf course ( The public footpath is clearly marked ) or join us as we cross the road.

The nicest part of the walk starts from here.
This footpath follows a stream on the right and is very popular in
the summer with dog walkers.

Continue down the path until you come to a wire fence enclosing a sewage works. This rarely smells so it doesn't spoil the walk and you will often see dozens of rabbits feeding on the grass here .
There is a short footpath going to the left here that you can
take which shows the airport. The planes here are all small propeller craft. Carry on
straight on down
the path.
Occasionally you will come across white posts marking the foot path. Not far from here the
path leads onto an open field and you temporarily leave the stream.
You are now walking toward the Golden Valley bypass. When you reach the end of
this field the path turns to the left walking toward
the air field. The path actually leads under the Golden valley bypass and on the other side of the bridge you will come across a style. Cross the style and carry on straight down the path.
Alternatively, turn left across the field for another walk

You will soon be able to see the playing fields by the local council offices.Very soon you will come to another style which takes you into the playing field right by the BMX dirt track. From here either carry straight up the path or turn left to walk all around the outside of the field.
If you turn left the stream re appears
on your left. Walk right down to the bottom and you will pass the entrance to the small Children's play area. No dogs
are allowed here.

Once past here you arrive at the Council offices. Turn right down Parton Rd to return to the start or turn left to visit the old village.
