Churchdown lies between City of Gloucester and Cheltenham. Gloucestershire Airport ( formerly Staverton ) is 2 miles towards Cheltenham .The old village church ( St Andrews ) still stands at the foot of Chosen hill . Take a look at the Jacobean pulpit and the wonderful old porch. The original parish Church, Saint Bartholomew's has its own page. If you have a high speed connection, you can see streaming video clips of Churchdown here. We have had emails requesting a board just for Churchdown. The board is now live and you can go straight to the board HERE. We have also created an events board for Churchdown. This is available for anyone to advertise a local event completely free of charge. Churchdown Parish Council now have a web site of their own.
On the main road ( Cheltenham road East ) Stubbs General Store, sadly is no more, an old fashioned shop that used to sell everything from mouse traps to cheese, newspapers to petrol. St Johns Church is on the corner here. They now have their own site.
We have some great local shops which include Chosen Curtains (Click on the link to go to their site )
Churchdown has its own parish council and a community centre. Local clubs, churches and societies are welcome to a free entry on this page.
The village end of Churchdown has a pub called the Bat & Ball and more small local shops

Readers of the Gloucestershire Citizen may remember the heart warming pictures of the 6 puppies abandoned just before Christmas. On Saturday January 9 1999, BJ boarding kennels were besieged by their new owners. Softdata's puppy, Pixel, now has her own site
