charter of gloucester

The charter of King Richard 111was granted in 1483 and has the Kings great seal attached to it. Apparently it is still in good condition even today. We are trying to persuade Gloucester museum to allow us access to it.
It opens " Richard, by the grace of God King of England and France and Lord of Ireland ....to all whom the present letters come, greetings. " It then lists all the previous charters granted by previous monarchs.
The charter also speaks of " The special affection " of King Richard for the town, and of the "good and faithful actions of the ...bayliffs and burgesses in causes of particular importance to him. In consideration of the foregoing, and with the desire to provide for their immunity, protection and peace, the King remits of his special favour and from certain knowledge and free impulse a substantial part of the fee farm rent. ( £45.00 from £65.00 )
