Save Stroud Maternity Hospital - Stroud Maternity Matters!

THE THREAT TO STROUD MATERNITY The proposal to close Stroud Maternity came on 10th May 2006, when the controlling Trust, Cotswold & Vale Primary Care Trust (PCT) announced sweeping cuts to their local health services to save million of pounds of debts. A proposal to close Stroud Maternity in 2006 was part of the cuts – the PCT maintains they will save £400,00 by closing in-patient services. We disagree - we maintain we are a cost-effective and financially viable service.

i am expecting my first child in february and have chosen to have my baby in stroud because of its good name and the good facilitys carry on the good work.
