The Dymock Community website is a great idea and for the most part is excellent. However, the webmaster and the Parish Council is allowing its site to be used as a campaigning vehicle for a small single issue pressure group who wish to see a pub re-opened in one part of the Parish. We own the said pub and feel most aggrieved by the vitriolic nature of this anonymous website. We don't feel that a community website should be used for campaigning and believe that the Parish Council should not be using their site for campaigning in this way.

We would like your thoughts and advice on this matter please. There is misleading and untrue information on the site.

As webmaster for the Dymock Community web site I thank the Tweedales for their positive comment regarding the site in question. However, the alleged use of our site as a campaigning vehicle against their conversion of the Horseshoe Inn is a gross exaggeration. The vehicle in question is that of a link within the links section which is open to any links of local interest, the link to the Horseshoe Inn Companions site (http://www.hicc.info/home.htm) was added in good faith when it was suggested by a resident. I have offered to remove the link but unfortunately my busy work schedule meant putting this off until I could find the time to do so, it subsequently slipped my mind. In the light of the post above I think the link will remain. Of course if the Tweedales indicate to me any libellous material on the site we've linked to I will remove the link at the earliest opportunity.
