HISTORY is being brought to life at a special event at Gloucester Folk Museum next week.
The Westgate Street attraction is holding a civil war living history day on Saturday, March 24.
It's held in association with the English Civil War Society, which specialises in authentic recreations of historic military life in Britain.
Visitors will see and learn about military drills, cannon displays, household chores, social life and much more.
There will be several talks on the siege of Gloucester – which happened 369 years ago to the day – and its place in history too.
That famous siege saw William Waller and Colonel Massie defeat Lord Herbert at Highnam.
The event runs from 10am until 5pm, normal admission prices apply.
