We gave BT business over 3 months notice that we wanted our phone line and business broadband moved to our new offices in Westgate Street. You would think that it would be plenty. But NO

Yesterday my wife Vanda waited for hours for a BT technician to call. He eventually arrived, He told her the phone line was working but the broadband he wasn't interested with at all. He said it might come on later in the day. He was asked to wait for 20 minutes until I arrived at the office to sort it out. He refused.

I arrived and no broadband. We both then had to go home to use our residential service ( with Virgin fortunately )

We arrived in the office at 8am this morning and still no broadband. I endured the long wait on the help line and was eventually told that the old one had not been switched off, and it would take at least 4 hours to be activated. As our business depends on broadband I then left Vanda at the office and went home again.

She then phoned BT again and was given a different story. They don't know why it isnt working, and no they do not have a single man in Gloucestershire who could come today, so we are now going to have to wait once again between 8 and 1 tomorrow when an engineer MAY turn up to fix the problem.

This is the worst service I have ever had from any company in all my years in business. In the morning I will ensure we have dongles to connect as I have no faith in BT at all.

Vanda was in tears and now has a migrain and I'm back home again trying desperatly to pick up the threads of my business.

BT = Bloody Terrible, Do not touch them with a barge pole. We shall see what happens tomorrow IF they turn up. Watch this space if we do not have broadband by 1 pm tomorrow - all hell will be let loose :Evil_1:

Very sorry to hear Vanda suffered a migraine. I get those too. And no wonder people are switching away from BT if that is how they treat such important customers. Shocking!

If you are on Virgin at home, could you not get that service for the office? We are also with Virgin and I know I could save some money by switching but we have so little problem I really don't want to switch.

Hope you get it sorted tomorrow and Vanda feels better.

Sadly we cant get the virgin cable there.

We now have it resolved. After creating a great fuss a proper engineer was sent out and he found that we had not been connected in the exchange.

Sad though when the only way to get things sorted is to make a big noise. That's not just limited to BT but it does seem that the bigger the company the more noise one has to make.
