A POLICE helicopter was today brought in to join the search for missing Gloucestershire man Richard Eagle.

Mr Eagle, 60, was last seen walking past a shop in Berry Hill in the Forest of Dean at around 10am yesterday.

He is considered vulnerable and is described as a creature of habit so police are very concerned for his welfare.
Officers are searching the area near Berry Hill and Richard’s home this morning, coordinated by a specially trained search advisor, while a police helicopter is also being used to help trace him.
Anyone who may have seen Richard, or who knows of his whereabouts should get in touch with police immediately.
Richard is described as white, 6ft tall, of slim build, with receding grey hair and a moustache. When he was last seen he was wearing a checked cap and an overcoat.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident 459 of January 26.

Sadly, Police helicopters are becoming another victim of the cuts. Dorset's is for the chop and I've read somewhere that we will be sharing, can't remember with who but I know I read Gloucestershire comes into it somewhere along the line.
