I must have broken about a dozen Vacuum Cleaners and maybe about 6 mowers over the last 20 years or so.

I used to buy Dyson cleaners as they picked up virtually everything including all the dog hairs but the dam things used to conk out just after the guarantee expired.

I can remember Alexandra’s, where we bought Tinker from, a small Post Office, another shop along London Road called Sollar’s which was quite a walk from where we lived and we only went there when we had to and a wonderful shop called Carpenter’s.
